What is the goal of the investment?

The investment aims to support projects and initiatives for Third Sector workers in Southern regions (Abruzzo, Basilicata, Campania, Calabria, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily), improving the public offer of socio-educational services focused on disadvantaged minors (ages 0-6 and 5-10) and youths (ages 11-17) and their families to fight school-leaving and school drop-out, advancing values of social inclusion and cohesion.

The measure seeks to counter educational poverty in Southern regions by strengthening socio-educational services for minors, financing Third Sector initiatives, with special focus on support services for ages 0 through 6, and those fighting school drop-out, while also improving the educational offer in the 5-10 and 11-17 ranges. La measure aims to kick off projects carried out by Third Sector agencies, designed to engage up to 50,000 minors currently facing hardship or at risk for deviance. Protocols with Third Sector Foundations which are already active in Southern Regions for projects requiring funding, assessment methods, selection and monitoring for the purpose on ensuring transparency and the best use of resources.
