What is the goal of the investment?

The measure has the goal of finance an extraordinary recruitment plan to strengthen the Trial Office.  The new hires, adequately trained, will cover the Judicial Offices that have an even greater backlog to be taken care of and will help in the monitoring and reporting of the NRRP.

In this case, 250 civil servants will be recruited who will deal with open cases and 90 technical assistants who will provide the necessary skills for a more a digital and dynamic justice system. The organisational tool, called the "Trial Office", consists of the establishment, or strengthening, of support teams for judges, with fixed-term employment and with the goal of reducing the backlog and the time available in Italy.  This measure would also improve the quality of justice by supporting judges in their normal activities of study, legal research, drafting documents, organising documents and thus allowing judges to concentrate on more complex tasks. The investment also includes training to support the digital transition in the justice system. The implementation of the investment will be completed by 30 June 2024.
