What is the goal of the investment?
The measure aims to strengthen basic medical training at university, to introduce an extraordinary training plan on hospital infections and to ensure an upgrade of the medical staff's digital and managerial skills.
- Reduce the gaps in standards of living
To make up for deficits in the Italian healthcare system, some of which also emerged during the pandemic, the investment aims to: increase the opportunity for scholarships specifically for the general medicine course; start a training plan addressing safety in hospital infections for the all NHS staff; launching a training course for staff with top positions within NHS agencies in digital and managerial skills with funding of contracts for specialised medical training.
2700 scholarships for general three-year medicine courses;
290000 individuals trained on hospital infections;
Training on acquiring managerial skills for 4500 NHS professionals;
An additional 4200 specialised training contracts for a complete study cycle (5 years).
